Veolia acquires Mick George Recycling

Veolia has acquired Cambridgeshire-based Mick George Recycling Ltd – the recycling arm of Mick George Ltd  – for an undisclosed fee.

Mick George Recycling offered commercial waste collections to a range of customers including schools, shopping centres and football grounds

The deal further strengthens Veolia’s position in the East of England following its  acquisition last year of the trade waste business of Glazewing, near King’s Lynn (see letsrecycle.com story).

Mick George Recycling says it offers “tailored waste management solutions for businesses of all sizes”, and its customers include shopping centres and football grounds.

Mick George Ltd will continue to operate in its other fields, having grown to become a major supplierto the construction industry in East Anglia and East Midlands.

Multi-collection

Commenting on the acquisition of Mick George Recycling Ltd, Keith McGurk, regional director  for the east at Veolia UK, said: “Veolia is pleased to confirm our acquisition of Mick George Recycling Limited which was part of the Mick George Group of Companies that provided a multi-collection recycling service.
