Dutch tax to feature in RDF Conference

The latest developments on the looming tax on the importation of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) for incineration in the Netherlands are set to be discussed at the RDF conference in London.

Taking place on Thursday, 28 November, the conference will provide delegates with an update on the RDF market across Europe.

Alongside discussions on the RDF tax, the conference will feature discussions on policy, regulation, environmental challenges and future market developments.

RDF movements will be discussed at the conference

Robert Corjin will kick off the discussions,  and session one speakers include Adrian Judge from waste and bioenergy consultant Tolvik and a headline Brexit case study delivered by Tim Reardon from the Port of Dover.

Sustainability

In the second session,visitors will hear from Libby Peake of The Green Alliance. Speaking ahead of the event she said that her presentation will “highlight some of the sustainability issues we are currently facing including plastic pollution, the search for alternatives to plastic, and consequences from the burning of materials”.

Session two also features speakers from Socotec and Geminor discussing sampling and SRF production respectively.

In the afternoon, two panel discussions will take place looking at European markets with representation from Sweden, Germany, Holland and the UK in addition to a session hosted by the RDF Industry Group, with whom the event is run in collaboration with.
