VIP Bin Cleaning goes into liquidation

By 31/07/2017News

Mobile and static bin cleaning equipment company, VIP Bin Cleaning Limited of Wymondham, Norfolk has gone into liquidation.

The accountancy firm, Price Bailey, confirmed the situation. This follows a meeting of the Board of the company to consider the winding up resolution on 19 July 2017, placing the company into liquidation, and nominating Matthew Howard and Stuart Morton, Licensed Insolvency Practitioners of Price Bailey LLP, Norwich, to act as liquidators of the company.

When contacted by letsrecycle.com, Mr Morton said although the company is no longer trading and that negotiations are underway for a sale of the business. However, he confirmed that a number of franchises of the business are still operating and he also said arrangements had not yet been made for creditors to be paid.

Going concern

Mr Morton said: “We are hoping to sell the business as a going concern.”

According to its website, VIP Bin Cleaning Limited, founded in 1997, specialises in the cleaning of domestic wheelie bins and commercial and industrial waste containers.

VIP bins

Earlier this year VIP Bins Cleaning announced it had awarded a master licence holder for Norway. Pictured with two Norwegian colleagues (centre) are Lee Cryodon, Network Support (left) and Daniel Browne, general manager UK (right)

The company said it operated across the UK and had operations being established in Australia, South Africa, the USA, Canada, Poland, Botswana, Namibia, Russia and Norway. This growth is attributed to franchise and company owned operations.

Franchising

On its website, VIP Bin Cleaning Ltd says that “Franchising offers you the opportunity to own your own business, with the security of an established brand and a proven ready-made organisation. The biggest advantage of franchising is the reduction of risk you will be taking for your investment.”

It added: “Franchisees typically get up and running faster, and are profitable more quickly – the result of a strong management system, training and support network and a known brand.

Companies House records one ‘active’ director of the company, Mark Kevin Harvey of Wymondham, Norfolk.

VIP Bin Cleaning was unavailable for comment when contacted by letsrecycle.com.

  • Also in Norfolk, a new company VIP Bin Cleaning (2017) Ltd has been formed. Managing director is Philip Hugh who is also a director of Hugh Crane Cleaning Equipment Ltd. A comment from VIP Bin Cleaning (2017) Ltd is expected shortly.
