Attero Recycling rebrands to Eco-Power Environmental

By 25/02/2019News

Doncaster-based waste and alternative fuels firm, Attero Recycling Ltd, has announced it is rebranding to Eco-Power Environmental.

The company said the new brand will provide a “single consistent identity” and set of values as it seeks to increase its presence within the market.

The MRF operated by Eco-Power Environmental, formerly Attero Recycling Ltd

Eco-Power Environmental and its subsidiary Eco-Power Fuels process commercial and municipal waste at a waste transfer site in Doncaster, producing separated wood, plastics, paper, card and metals, solid recovered fuel (SRF), refuse-derived fuel (RDF), soils, soil conditioning additives and aggregates. The company says that it diverts over 95% of the material that it manages from landfill, with a capacity to handle more than 1 million tonnes of material per year.

The company, which was founded in 2012, describes itself as a “key supplier of fully integrated, waste management solutions in the UK”.

Acquisition

Recent developments within the business have included the acquisition in July 2018 of Transwaste Recycling & Aggregates – a company based in East Riding of Yorkshire (see letsrecycle.com story). The Transwaste acquisition included the addition of a 750,000 tonnes per year materials recycling facility in Melton and a solid recovered fuel (SRF) pellet production plant in Hull.

The company described the acquisition as part of a strategy of “aggressive expansion” within the UK.

“In addition to better reflecting our current business model, the Eco-Power Environmental brand will enable us to create a unique position in the UK waste, recycling and alternative fuels market.”

Commenting on the rebrand, Eco-Power Environmental’s commercial director, Louis Calders, said: “In addition to better reflecting our current business model, the Eco-Power Environmental brand will enable us to create a unique position in the UK waste, recycling and alternative fuels market. It will also provide an important springboard to support our continued growth, as we work to realise the commercial and environmental benefits of sustainable waste management and alternative fuels.”

As part of the rebrand, the company has launched a new website.

The company is not linked to the Dutch energy-from-waste group Attero.
