Gary Frost joins Willshee’s as operations manager

Gary Frost has joined Burton-based waste management firm Willshee’s in the new role of operations manager.

Previously with Biffa, Mr Frost is responsible for all the operational aspects of Wilshee’s waste and recycling services.

Mr Frost has 20 years’ experience in waste management, prior to which he was in road transport.

He holds a CPC Qualification in Road Transport, an EPOC certificate and a WAMITAB certificate in transfer and treatment of non-hazardous waste.


Andrews joins Foresight as director and head of portfolio

Foresight Group – the independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager – has announced the appointment of Paul Andrews as director and head of portfolio.

Mr Andrews joins the 95-strong infrastructure team at Foresight with more than 25 years’ experience in energy and environmental engineering, most recently working at a specialist consultancy focussed on sustainable projects. Prior to this, he held executive positions for FCC, Energy Developments Pty and Shanks Waste Management (now Renewi plc).

Based at Foresight’s global HQ in the Shard, Mr Andrews joins Foresight’s asset management team which is responsible for optimising operational performance at more than 145 renewable energy projects around the world.

Foresight’s current portfolio includes combined heat and power, composting, materials recovery and anaerobic digestion plants. At present, the firm said it is actively pursuing and investing in new opportunities across the UK, Europe and Australia.


Fireward announces managing director

Automatic fire suppression systems specialist, Fireward Ltd, has announced the appointment of Victoria Clark as managing director.

Joining Dunmow Group as group general manager in December 2018, Ms Clark has been promoted to the position of managing director of Fireward with immediate effect. According to the firm, Ms Clark brings with her a wealth of senior leadership experience and a track record in business performance transformation.

Ms Clark’s most recent role was with BMW, with whom she spent over a decade in senior leadership and project management roles, both in the UK and Australia.

According to Fireward, Ms Clark will play a crucial role in meeting the company’s aggressive growth strategy, as well as building on the firm’s already well-established reputation.


Cawleys takes on general manager

Cawleys has appointed Kathryn Wright as general manager

South east of England waste management firm Cawleys, has appointed Kathryn Wright as general manager.

Ms Wright joined Cawleys earlier this month after working at Veolia for over a decade.

Commenting on the appointment, Cawleys managing director, Phil Gudgeon, said: “Being a family business means there is a strong belief in customer service and personal responsibility for both our immediate customers and future generations to come.

“This, in turn, drives our commitment to the best possible recycling solutions, something which appealed to Kathryn. We’re delighted to welcome her to the management team.”


UNTHA appoints director of global business development

Industrial shredding specialist UNTHA has appointed Gary Moore as director of global business development.

The Austrian-headquartered firm said it has made the strategic decision ahead of 25% projected worldwide growth over the next 12 months.

Currently sales director of UNTHA UK – a position he will remain in – Mr Moore has played an instrumental role in developing the UK business by 50% during 2018, according to UNTHA. “But 2019 looks set to be even bigger,” the company says, with 12 waste to energy shredding solution sales already secured in the first four months of the year.

Mr Moore’s new global position will firstly see him focus on supercharging the growth of UNTHA America.
